Making haute couture, in addition to exceptional design, requires a great deal of experience in craftmanship and discipline.
Much of that knowledge was always passed on within the ateliers but outside of them, tailors could hardly go
anywhere to expand their knowledge.
That is why Leon wanted to do something to give tailors the opportunity to deepen their work and save the craft from extinction.
Since 2012 Leon has been giving master classes in couture techniques to experienced tailors.
Based on what he has seen and learned in Parisian ateliers, he has developed programs with the techniques that are used to make the elegant glamour of haute couture.
Each year a number of masterclasses are planned at LeonLeon's couture salon in the heart of Amsterdam.
